General Info | How send us review eBooks

Kindle is our accepted eBook format

• Authors send the MWSA Awards Directors a voucher for a pre-paid Kindle book directly from Amazon. We forward it to our reviewer.

• Do NOT use a gift card or certificate to send us MONEY.

• Procedures below apply to those authors with...

• paper AND eBook versions of their work, or

• only eBook version(s) of their work.

Do not send unsolicited eBooks

• If we haven’t sent you an email requesting your review copies, anything you send will be considered unsolicited and will be deleted.

• Use only our online book submission form to submit your book.

Read these instructions carefully!

• Don’t send us any review copies until you are instructed that we have three reviewers ready to review your book.

• Go to your book’s Kindle version on Amazon and select the “Buy for others” option

  • You’ll find this on the right side of your book’s listing (just under the normal purchase block, and above “Send a free sample”)

  • Although you can select a quantity, purchase only one book at a time. If you need more than one e-book, use a separate transaction for each one so that we can forward it to its correct reviewer.

  • Click on the “Buy for others” button

• Fill out the “Complete your Kindle book gift purchase” page (see image below) using the following steps:

  • Copy and paste MWSAAwardsDirectors@gmail.com in the “To” block. If you don’t use the EXACT email above, your book will be lost in space or you may be inadvertently providing your book to someone else.

  • If you’re signed into your Amazon account, YOUR name should already be in the “From” block

  • In the “Message” block, enter the desired Reviewer Number to whom we’ll be forwarding your pre-paid Kindle book. If all three are getting Kindles, include the note indicating: Reviewer 1, Reviewer 2, or Reviewer 3.

  • Make sure the “Delivery Date” is “Now”

  • Once you’ve checked your Order Summary, Payment Method, and Billing Address, click the “Place your order” button

    • Note that the example account below had a gift card balance, resulting in a $0.00 Order total—you may not be so lucky.

• The above procedure is for Kindle eBooks only

  • If you're sending a combination of paper and e-book versions of your book (because one or more of your reviewers accepts/prefers eBooks), you need to send one gift per reviewer accepting eBook format.

    • The other reviewer(s) will need a paper copy mailed to them at the address provided.

• You do not need to send more than one format (i.e. softcover and Kindle) to any one reviewer.

• Once we receive your Kindle pre-paid book voucher via email from Amazon, we forward it to the appropriate reviewer.
